Stay up to date with the project as we work with National Economics to develop extended economic forecasts for Local Government Areas across Australia

Following the launch of our Covid-19 economic impact module, our team have been working on a new forecast module in our economic profiles that will provide extended economic impact forecasts to the December Quarter 2021.

The module is still in development, but is likely to include two scenarios that will highlight the impact if JobKeeper is not extended beyond September. This information will help support discussions with State and Federal government.

This module will cover the likely economic impact of COVID-19 on local economies, with detail including:
  • Quarterly data from June 2019 to December 2021
  • 2 scenarios - with and without JobKeeper
  • GRP
  • Jobs
  • Value Added
  • Industry insights (1 and 2 digit)

These forecasts will available as an optional upgrade to economy.id for existing subscribers (they will not be available as stand-alone forecasts).
